La grande kermesse del Cinema riserverà sorprese
Il prossimo 12 marzo 2023 si terrà a Los Angeles la 95^ edizione degli Oscar, il massimo riconoscimento per chi opera nel mondo del cinema e che consacra, scolpendo nella pietra, i mostri sacri della settima arte.
Così abbiamo voluto dare un'occhiata a cosa dice Variety, il più affermato e letto periodico di Spettacolo e abbiamo trovato non poche sorprese.
Infatti si sono chiuse le votazioni della BAFTA per coloro che si contenderanno i premi in palio e ora c'è soltanto da attendere la diramazione della lista dei candidati, il 25 gennaio.
Nel frattempo sono stati assegnati i Golden Globes per la TV e si sono conosciute le candidature per la SAG, i premi assegnati dal sindacato degli attori.
Tutto corollario per l'attesissima sera del 12 marzo. Variety ci svela qualche indiscrezione e fa i suoi pronostici. Per il miglior film stila una classifica di dieci contendenti, per la gran parte ancora non approdati in Italia.
Gli indizi che ci danno le nomination di categoria annunciate finora sono di prestare attenzione a film di qualità (spesso presentati ai festival) come Tár, The Fabelmans, Gli spiriti dell’isola, ma anche a blockbuster come Top Gun: Maverick, Elvis, Avatar: la via dell’acqua o ancora outsider indipendenti come Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Ma sono ben 301 i titoli idonei alla candidatura nella categoria più importante, quella del miglior film.
Secondo Variety saranno The Fabelmans (l'autobiografia di Spielberg della sua gioventù), il colossal Top Gun:Maverick, il seguito, trent'anni dopo, del blockbuster di Tom Cruise, e The Banshees of Inisherin (la storia di un amore che si interrompe drammaticamente e che cambia la vita dei due protagonisti, (con Colin Farrell).
Outsider saranno, a nostro avviso, Tar (film sulla prima direttrice d'orchestra donna in Germania), The Whale (film inglese su un professore affetto da obesità e il rapporto con sua figlia) o Everything, everywhere all at once (film intrigante nel quale una anziana donna cinese deve salvare il mondo).
Per la migliore attrice svetta favoritissima Cate Blanchett (Tar) così come Austin Butler per la sua interpretazione in Elvis.
Il film italiano di Mario Martone, Nostalgia, non è stato ammesso tra i film stranieri dove vediamo ben piazzato l'austriaco Corsage.
